When a love story finds its way onto a menu, you know it’s special. That’s exactly what NFL star Travis Kelce has done at his brand-new Kansas City steakhouse. Just days after announcing his engagement to global superstar Taylor Swift, Kelce revealed that his restaurant will serve a cocktail inspired by one of her songs, ‘The Alchemy’.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, along with teammate Patrick Mahomes, is opening 1587 Prime, a stylish new steakhouse in Kansas City, Missouri. While the food is obviously going to grab attention, it’s the drinks menu that already has Swifties buzzing.

In a recent Instagram video, Kelce and Mahomes gave fans a sneak peek at the cocktail bar. One drink in particular stole the spotlight: a cucumber-and-orange peel cocktail named ‘The Alchemy’.

As Mahomes sampled the drink with an approving nod, Kelce smiled. The post’s caption teased, “The cocktails you won’t stop talking about, and for good reason.”

The name isn’t just clever branding. It’s a direct nod to Taylor Swift. “The Alchemy” is also the title of a track from Swift’s 2024 album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. The song has become closely tied to her romance with Kelce, with fans dissecting its football metaphors.

Lyrics like “Where’s the trophy? He just comes runnin’ over to me / Touchdown / Call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team” left little doubt about who inspired the tune.
